1- A house cat can jump up to five times it's own height in a single bound. If humans could do this, it would mean the average man could jump nearly 29 feet from a standing position!2- A group of cats is called a "clowder."
3- Cats can hear better than dogs. A cat hears high-frequency sounds up to 2 octaves higher than a person.
4- Generally, a cat will have 12 whiskers on each side of its face.
5- The cheetah is the only feline that doesn't sheath its claws when it is at rest.
